UberHub Startups, the startup community of Uberlândia (Minas Gerais, Brazil), won the Community of the Year category at the Startup Awards in both 2024 and 2025 — making it Brazil's best startup community two years running. The Startup Awards is the prize of Abstartups (the Brazilian Startup Association), held during CASE, Latin America's biggest startup conference, with 16 categories, three voting phases and external auditing. The community grew out of a movement started in 2011 and has already impacted 350+ startups, of which 287 remain active, gathering a network of 25,000+ participants.

UberHub is the community that orchestrates the startup, technology and innovation ecosystem of Uberlândia, Brazil. Twice named Brazil's Best Startup Community at the Startup Awards, it brings together founders, developers, investors, universities, companies and government around events, content and connections — all free and open.

UberHub is the identity representing Uberlândia's entire startup and innovation ecosystem — the sum of 28,000+ people and around 300 players: entrepreneurs, communities, incubators, companies, educational institutions, startups, investors, government and support entities like Sebrae and Fiemg. The UberHub communities are the groups that bring this ecosystem to life day by day — Uberlândia has 46 mapped entrepreneurship and tech communities, each with its own focus, such as UberHub Startups for founders and UberHub Mulher for women's entrepreneurship.

No. UberHub is not a company, an NGO, an institution or a physical space — it has no owner, no board, no titles. It's the collaborative brand of Uberlândia's innovation movement: whoever innovates in the city is UberHub, paying nothing and asking no one's permission. Recognition comes from the members themselves, and the culture is give first and give back — help first and, when you receive, return it to the ecosystem.

It's the software developer training program run by the UberHub Education Institute together with the city's innovation ecosystem. The goal is to introduce 21,000 people to programming logic by 2029. Results so far include 33+ medals at the Brazilian Informatics Olympiad, young people founding startups, winning international competitions like NASA Space Apps, and working at local companies and big techs like Meta and Google. Uberlândia is home to the first artificial intelligence Data Center in Brazil's Southeast and is recognized by the world's biggest tech companies as an AI hub. The Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) is one of the ecosystem's engines: together with IFTM and other institutions, it accounts for part of the city's 90,000+ students, conducts cutting-edge research in fields like artificial intelligence and robotics, and supplies startups and tech companies with talent. Academia also takes part in the Uberlândia Innovation Pact and in initiatives like hackathons, programming marathons and the NASA Space Apps Challenge.
